How Toxic Are Your Beauty Products?

Like all you fab femmes out there, I love makeup and trying out new products. Sephora is my version of a candy store, and I can literally get lost in there for hours going through and trying out all of their products. However, I recently read that the average woman absorbs around 5 pounds of chemicals from her beauty/makeup products each year (shocking, right?!) and since then I’ve been on a mission to find healthier and less toxic beauty products because the thought of absorbing chemicals from makeup makes my stomach turn. I came across the Environmental Working Group’s (EWG’s) Skin Deep database http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ that contains information about the toxicity levels in over 79,000 of the most popular makeup/skincare products out there, and rates them on a scale of 0 to 10 on how toxic they are. They help you break down and understand the ingredients in the products, and also provide great tips on buying safer products so definitely check it out to see how some of your fav products stack up to the toxic test.

  1. They should always be used to complement it: to guarantee a healthy
and beautiful skin. The restoration of youthful skin is not accomplished rapidly that crease and lines
becomes visible. Sometimes, repeat treatments will be required in the future
    too.
